Quality Assurance Manager

Position Overview:
Establishes and maintains basis for quality control, quality standards, inspection and test methods and procedures for the organization. Develops and maintains Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001/2008.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Determines and recommends necessary inspection and test equipment for incoming, in-process, and final product inspection.
  • Establishes standards for sampling and vendor testing and inspection, responsible for receiving audits.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates the assembly of records necessary for quality control tracking, including charts, statistical analysis and reports.
  • Assists in determining causes for faulty work, quality failures, and scrap or rejects. Manages corrective action reports. 
  • Creates and maintains In-Process Inspection Sheets for all production and repeat jobs.
  • Pursues quality control issues with customers and addresses disposition of defective or returned materials or items. Responds to all customer Non-Conformances (NCM's) and issues RGA# as needed.
  • Oversees the Calibration Technician in maintaining the Calibration System.
  • Controls all drawing revision levels and engineering change log.
  • Submits Deviation Requests as needed.
  • Performs 1st Piece Inspection of NEW or Prototype products to include programming the CMM. (To include ALL fixtures for NEW PARTS MUST go across the CMM to be checked).
  • Responsible for timely submission of all Tech Response documents.
  • Performs Final Inspection of products to be shipped. Processing paperwork for shipping (i.e. Pick tickets and verifying counts on completed work orders).
  • Plans all internal and third party audits.
Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience Requirements:
  • Two year Vocational and/or the equivalent in prior experience.
